Editor's Field Report

Tested on PNW salt + frozen creek margins, 2025–2026
We switched to this waterproof boot set for January through March loops when salt, slush, and frozen creek margins showed up weekly. The thicker sole bit better on icy parking lots than our all-terrain set, and the velcro stayed engaged when snow packed the cuff — we still checked every thirty minutes on first outings. Boots rinsed clean of salt in warm water at the door; lining dried overnight if we opened the velcro fully. They add weight — noticeable on tempo runs — so we reserve them for conditions, not everyday sidewalks. Sized as a set of four; rotate front and rear if one wears faster on pullers.
