We tested evaporative cooling on afternoons above 78°F with scheduled shade breaks. Soak, wring, go — recovery between fetches improved versus bare coat alone. Mesh body let air through when the vest was dry; dogs tolerated it longer than neoprene alternatives we tried. Re-wet every twenty to thirty minutes in direct sun. We paired with water and shade — never left dogs in hot cars with vest only. Packs flat when dry. After a season the stitching held; velcro still gripped when sandy.
