Why we built this kit

Most trail days start in a parking lot, not on a summit — which means mud in the back seat, paws on the door frame, and a leash transfer at the trailhead. We built the City to Trail Kit for editors who drive to every outing: a seat cover that survives sandy returns, a safety belt that stays put on highway on-ramps, a paw cleaner for the threshold between car and trail, and a treat kit so the walk starts calm instead of chaotic. We scored each piece on separate commutes and weekend drives; the bundle is our answer to the question we get most — what do I actually need before I leave the city? Four pieces, one rhythm, door to dirt without the cleanup tax.
